Atom
The smallest particle of an element that can exist alone or in combination. Every atom is made up of a positively charged nucleus and a set of negatively charged electrons that revolve around the nucleus. The nucleus is made up of positively charged protons and neutrons that have no charge. Atoms link together to form molecules.
