Capacitor
An electrical storage device that consists of two conductive metal plates with a dielectric insulator between the plates. It is used to boost voltage for a single-phase wound motor. The two types of capacitors are starting (electrolytic) and running (oil filled). Capacitors are rated in microfarads. Also, an electrical condenser used for power factor correction.
