Condenser
(1) A heat exchanger where the heat absorbed by the refrigerant in the evaporator is rejected. It is where latent heat of condensation takes place. Heat flows from the refrigerant to the air passing across the condenser, causing the gas to change back to a liquid without a change in temperature or pressure. Condensing temperature must be higher than that of the ambient air. (2) In electronics, an electrical device which stores an electrical charge.
