Heat
A form of energy which, when added, causes substances to rise in
temperature. Heat always flows from a body of higher temperature to a body
of lower temperature. Energy associated with random motion of molecules.
Also see latent heat, sensible heat, specific heat, total heat, and heat of
the liquid.
