Three-phase current
Operating by means of a combination of three alternating current
circuits which differ in phase by one-third of a cycle (120 mechanical
degrees). This type of motor can yield high starting and breakdown torques.
They are more efficient than single-phase motors, and larger horsepower
ratings can be furnished. May be Delta or Wye.
