STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

Determine specifications for a system that will meet interior requirements for environmental control economically and dependably.

PROCEDURE GUIDE

  1. Collect information as directed:
    1. Physical data (surface area, construction details, prevailing winds, etc.).
    2. Occupancy data (number of occupants and activities, etc.).
    3. Heat added to spaces by lighting.
    4. Heat added to spaces by appliances and equipment, etc.
  2. Calculate space heating loads including:
    1. Areas.
    2. Infiltration.
    3. Heat transfer. coefficients.
    4. Equipment heat additions.
    5. Occupancy loads.
  3. Document information and calculations.
