STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

Estimate actual expected heating and cooling loads for designated spaces as accurately as possible following approved procedures.

PERFORMANCE GUIDE

  1. Calculate heating, cooling, humidification and air quality requirements as directed:
    1. Take measurements to determine surface area to be used in heat transfer calculations.
    2. Determine number of zones involved and occupancy of each zone.
    3. Determine type of activities performed in zones.
    4. Gather information on heat emissions of appliances and equipment in zones.
    5. Determine wattage of lighting in zones.
  2. Collect information about construction details
    1. Type of wall construction
    2. Type of windows
    3. Fit of windows and doors
    4. Other pertinent information as directed.
  3. Document information and make sketches as directed.
