STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

Interior equipment must be located for ease of installation and access, convenience to utilities and access for duct connections.  Equipment must be located in an area where noise will have minimum impact on space occupancy.  Equipment location must meet code requirements.

PROCEDURE GUIDE

Interior equipment must be located for ease of installation and access, convenience to utilities and access for duct connections.  Equipment must be located in an area where noise will have minimum impact on space occupancy.  Equipment location must meet code requirements.

  1. Review local codes and job specifications.
  2. Consider space available in structure.
  3. Select location that
    • Is convenient to exterior equipment.
    • Does not interfere with occupancy of interior spaces.
    • Minimizes noise interference.
    • Maintains adequate drainage for condensate.
    • Facilitates ease of access to duct system.
    • Is convenient to utilities.
    • Provides adequate access to equipment for service, coil removal, etc.
    • Allows for venting of combustion equipment.
    • Meets code requirements.
  4. Document information and prepare sketch with dimensions.
