                         131 – Oil Heat l  and  161 – Boilers l

STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

Specified equipment must be started according to manufacturer’s start-up procedures. Equipment must be operated as specified. Applicable safety procedures must be followed.

PROCEDURE GUIDE

  1. Review manufacturer’s start-up procedures.
  2. Collect tools, equipment and materials.
  3. Put on safety and protective equipment and apparel.
  4. Complete pre-start checklist.
  5. Start equipment following manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
  6. Make adjustments as required by start-up procedures.
  7. Verify that equipment functions according to manufacturer’s recommended performance standards.
  8. Complete start-up report and document all readings and adjustments made.
  9. Leave equipment in required operating status.
  10. Remove safety and protective equipment and apparel.
  11. Gather tools, equipment and leftover materials, and leave work site clean.
