Adjust relief damper

STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

Relief damper must limit over-pressure in the system within specified limits.  Applicable safety procedures must be followed.

PROCEDURE GUIDE

  1. Review job specifications.
  2. Determine applicable over-pressure in system.
  3. Collect tools, equipment and materials.
  4. Put on safety and protective equipment and apparel.
  5. Verify that equipment is operating at rated capacity.
  6. Measure static pressure in duct or space and adjust relief damper to bring measurement within specifications.
  7. Seal measurement openings.
  8. Leave equipment in required operating status.
  9. Remove safety and protective equipment and apparel.
  10. Gather tools, equipment and leftover materials, and leave work site clean.
