TASK: Install roof curb.

  1. STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

    Roof curb must be installed according to job specifications.  Roof curb must elevate equipment above roof surface and must provide a waterproof connection through which duct and piping may pass to building interior.  Applicable safety procedures must be followed.

    PROCEDURE GUIDE

    1. Review job order, manufacturer’s specifications, job specifications, codes, roof specifications and warranty.
    2. Verify that roof curb dimensions are correct for equipment.
    3. Collect tools, equipment and materials.
    4. Put on safety and protective equipment and apparel.
    5. Determine requirements and prepare roof opening.
    6. Secure roof curb on opening.
    7. Install flashing and seal to roof.
    8. Test roof curb for leaks between curb and roof.
    9. Reseal if leaks occur.
    10. Make final inspection of work.
    11. Remove safety and protective equipment and apparel.
    12. Gather tools, equipment and leftover materials, and leave work site clean.
