  • Note: HVACRedu.net does not store full credit card numbers. All payment card data is processed by Stripe, a PCIcompliant payment processor.

  1. How We Use Your Information

        We use personal information to: 

  • Provide and improve our online HVACR training programs 
  • Create and manage student accounts 
  • Deliver course access and track academic progress 
  • Communicate with students, mentors, and sponsoring organizations 
  • Process payments and maintain financial records 
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations 
  • Support Educational Agencies (EAs) under NY Education Law §2d 
  • We do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Automated DecisionMaking Technology to process student data.

  1. NY Education Law §2d (New York Educational Agencies)

         When HVACRedu.net provides services to a New York Educational Agency (EA), we comply with §2d requirements, including: 

4.1 Data Protection 

  • Student data is encrypted in transit and at rest 
  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate educational purpose 
  • Vendors (e.g., Enovation, Stripe) maintain their own security certifications 

 

4.2 Data Retention 

  • Student academic records: retained for enrollment period + 7 years 
  • Customer records: retained for 7 years after last activity 
  • Financial transaction metadata: retained for 7 years 
  • Email containing PII: retained up to 3 years 

 

4.3 Secure Destruction 

When data reaches the end of its retention period or upon EA instruction, it is permanently deleted from: 

  • Moodle Workplace (via Enovation’s secure deletion process) 
  • SuiteCRM 
  • Microsoft 365/SharePoint 
  • Backup systems (per vendor retention schedules) 

 

Certificate of Secure Destruction is available upon request. 

 

4.4 Data Disclosure 

We do not sell or share student data. 
We only disclose information to: 

  • Authorized HVACRedu.net staff 
  • Contracted service providers (e.g., Enovation, Stripe) 
  • Educational Agencies (as required)
